TriNessa Instructions will give you general guidelines in order to prevent pregnancy or keep your period consistent. You will have to follow simple steps in order to take the pill correctly.
How to use TriNessa Birth Control?
TriNessa directions are very simple. If this is the first time for you to use a birth control pill, you should keep in mind that hormonal medications are very particular. Hormonal pills, in general, should always be taken at the same time as you have started the pill. Sometimes it is hard to remember to take the pill at the same time, therefore it is recommended to add it to your daily routine. For example, you can take a pill every morning during breakfast, or right before you go to bed. I usually take my pills in the morning with the meal. I leave the pack on the table, so that during my breakfast I see TriNessa pack as a reminder to take a pill. Your body needs to maintain a steady flow of hormones; once the hormone level drops low, your risk of getting pregnant increases. The pill must be taken separately from any other medications or supplements, unless approved by the doctor.
Birth control pills usually have days of the week printed on blister packs, for you to keep track. TriNessa’s dial packs are a bit different – they are listed numerically. There is a little black arrow on top of the dial pack, right over the first white pill, that indicates where to stat your pack. There are four different colors in TriNessa pack. Green pills in the middle, are placebo pills for the final week. So, you have to start with the white pill and take one pill at the same time every day for the next 28 days until you finish the pack.
You can start using TriNessa any time of the month. However, if you begin taking your first pill pack within 5 days of the beginning of your period, you will be protected against pregnancy right away. It’s okay to start your birth control pills any other time, but make sure to use another form of contraceptive method, for minimum another week. If you are new to birth control pills, in general, then I would recommend you to use back up method for the first month, until your body adjusts to the hormones. The pill may influence your regular monthly period. Even if you do not get your period, or get it once every two or three months, it is important to continue taking the pill. To know a little more about the effectiveness of the pill you can read about it on TriNessa-Birth Control Pill.
You Missed A Pill, Now What?
Well, if you miss one pill, not a big deal, you are still protected, just take the pill as soon as you remember and continue taking the rest of the pills at your regular time. If you miss two pills, then take one missing pill as soon as you remembered and continue taking the rest at your normal time. Make sure you don’t take two pills in one day. If you missed three or more pills, then you should call your doctor, as you might have to wait until your next period to restart the birth control. While you are waiting for your next period, you can use barrier contraceptive methods to prevent pregnancy.
It is possible to get pregnant shortly after giving birth. The time that you should refrain from TriNessa depends if you are planning to breastfeed. If you are not planning to breastfeed, then you can start the pill three weeks after giving birth. If you are planning to breastfeed, then you should wait minimum of 6 weeks to 6 months, because the pill will reduce the amount and the quality of milk. TriNessa can be taken right away after a miscarriage, or abortion.
